Follow-Speech politeness Assertive in local elections
campaign in Pasuruan
Abstract: This paper intends to describe and explain
the follow-speech politeness assertive in order to win votes in the head election regional campaign. For the intents and purposes, the author tries to asses the amount of speech which recording successfully and collecting from field during campaign. Based on the performed analysis, the author
gets an idea the level of politeness follow-assertive speech utter from the speakers in the activities of the campaign is very significant. The level
of politeness language much influence from the content of speech and cultural values
of local communities which recognized by the speakers. This is because the content of the speech and cultural values inherent with maxims of politeness proposed by Leech (1983) and Brown & Levinson (1987) in every utterance.

Introduction
The follow-assertive speech is speech or statement express from speaker based on real facts
contain in the content of speech. Speakers do not allow to change the content of speech, do not fit or are contrary to the truth
proportion of speech. The concept was proposed by (Searle, 1969) and (Yule,
1996). The characteristics of follow-speech expressed by using performative verb notices stating, report, complaint,
suggestion, pride, claiming, and reminder. In this paper, the author will examine a number of follow-assertive speech from the perspective of
politeness language.
The
data utterance
categorized as follow-assertive speech examined by using pragmatics approach to determine the values of decency contained
in every speech. To identify the values of politeness in every speech, author need to identify models it speech be first step. Because, in politeness theory
influenced by the shape of language and speech strategies used by speaker. Related to this, the politeness theory use in this discussion, is the politeness theory
of Leech (1983) and combine with the theory of Brown and Levinson (1987).
Both of these theories very relevant to the culture of polite society in
various countries include in Indonesia and even the community where the
speech uttered. This is because the maxims of politeness use
in theory does not contradict with the socio-cultural values to people who use the language. However, whether ensure or does not ensure a speech courtesy uttered by speaker, writer also need to examine the custom and
norm of local community consider
with polite or not
polite thing to do.
In this paper author also describe the modes of follow-speech every speakers in context speech, so shape and function of speech will to know. Because, in the study of pragmatics, the meaning of statement can’t to see from the form of speech it self but also how the context statement used. With examine the shape and mode of speech question, the politeness strategies can to know in each utterance. This method also to
identify the extent ofimplement politeness maxims of language speaker propounded by Leech (1983)
and Brown & Levinson (1987). Related to
this, the author will examine the speech in the form of 'follow-speech assertive' use models: (a) notice, (b) counsel or advice, (c) pride, (d)
recognition (claims), and (e) ideas or opinions. Thus, to describe follow-speech
politeness assertive, the author take some kind of actual statements speech tangible
follow-assertive speech (speech-acts of asertives).
